What is a Distressed Floor?
Through a unique process we are able to transform our new flooring to old by random placement of nicks, gouges, punctures, and imprints of old screws and nail heads.  There is no pattern to the defects, therefore, you cannot distinguish between ours and those produced through years of wear.  It is wonderfully original!

What is a Weathered Floor?
In this extraordinary process, the softer grains in the wood are worn away, leaving the harder grains intact, so the texture follows the grain of the wood.  This type of surface would normally only come from decades of wear, but because we can recreate it from new wood, you get the best of both…. The look of the old with the structural integrity of new wood.

What is Antiqued?
You will notice that all of our floors have an “antiqued” appearance.  We put all flooring through our “aging” process which highlights the distressing or weathering of the floor and adds the blackening affect to the textures and the v-grooves.  We believe it is this step that really gives the floor its rich character.
